Kitchen

So the kitchen is the first room that I am going to start blogging about. It is the one room that we are going to do all on our own. That includes flooring and cabinets and all new appliances. I am so excited about getting a brand new kitchen.

So there are some pictures of the kitchen. You can see why we need a brand new kitchen with all brand new appliances. I will tell you that there was still food in that fridge. I didn't open it and clean it out though so maybe I can talk Jake in to jumping in here with his own post about what he has found in the fridge as well as the kitchen.
You can see how nasty the glass sliding doors are so we will be replacing all windows and doors throughout the house. That green tile will also be coming down as well and we are going to put some other back splash there. The tile is coming up as well and we will be laying down a wood floor. From what Jake has told me the kitchen as 4 levels of different flooring that they are having to rip up.
I really am so thankful that we have Jakes dad here to help him so that he isn't doing this by himself. I know that he could do it but it would just take longer and it is always nice to work along side someone rather then by yourself.
So both of the guys worked yesterday on the kitchen after lunch and here is what it looks like right now.......

  2. Yay! I am so glad to watch from over here. It's less gas that way! Looks like you've put dad straight to work! And it also looks like you have your work cut out for you! But oh what a journey...I am so excited to watch it all unfold. The befores are awesome because they are so nasty...it will make the afters look even more OUTRAGEOUS!! Happy remodeling, cutting, trimming, mowing, sawing, ripping, tearing, hanging, painting, installing, wiring, and all that jazz.
