Ok, here is an update for the kitchen. Dani wanted me to tell ya what was in the fridge, so I'll get that out of the way first. I found in the ref...that had been running for about a year and a half without being cleaned BTW...some yummy cheeseburgers, a nice fresh container of chow mien, and a lovely rainbow trout that was frozen to the freezer shelf. Everything else was just old bottles and jars of mayonnaise and ketchup and pickles, etc. It does stink terribly though so its now sitting outside to breath the fresh air.
We have finished gutting the kitchen completely now. Wayne pulled of the backsplash tiles yesterday and that pretty much finished the demo in there. Now we have to start the dismal process of remodeling and making it look fresh and new again. Demo, in my opinion, is much more fun...it has a way of elevating your stresses and woes!!
Today Brad, our contractor, framed in the old entrance to the kitchen and opened up a 3.5 feet hall space in the middle of the wall, that will be our new kitchen entrance. I believe he is making it into and arch way, which I am particularly psyched about.
Here are the pictures:

Also, the city came and turned on our water and I had the guy stay to make sure there weren't any leaks. All looked well, so he left. Right after he leaves a pipe bursts in the downstairs bathroom, right above the Lou, and starts spraying water everywhere. Wayne quickly found the shut off valve and turned off the water, but then we start noticing we have leaks all over. The kitchen is leaking, the upstairs baths faucet, valves, and p-trap are broke, and the laundry rooms shut off valves are leaking as well. So, we have been dealing with that! :)
Well, thats about all I have for now.
looks like it is coming along. I love all the pictures and so jealous you are doing a re-do in your own home.
